Johary Georget

We know veteran piroguier Johary Georget since 1997 and he works with us since 2000 when we created our first crew of staff specialized in the Tsiribihina River. He has great sense for organisation and an excellent knowledge of the Tsiribihina River.  Johary is very good at identifying both, birds and mammals. He was born in December 1956 in the Farafangana region on the sunny East Coast and is an origin of the small ethnic group of Arabic influenced Antaisaka. Johary is married an father of five children. He speaks Malagasy.

I like paddling down the Tsiribihina River! I started to do so in 1992 together with my brother Daniel and Justin Koto. At this time no one did this entire tour from Miandrivazo to Belo sur Tsiribihina and we had been the first doing so. It was a real adventure an a challenge.
